Seamless metal forming by metal spinning is one of Orfa Visser’s four machining specializations. The realized products have a round shape and they range in size from a thimble to a tank or silo floor. The maximum possible diameter is almost three meters.
Metal plates are formed on a die on one of ORFA VISSER’s spinning lathes. This can be done both manually and hydraulically. To facilitate this often highly specialistic work, we have our own tool factory and a computerised stockroom, where we store our clients’ tools.

ORFA VISSER has a fully automatic production line for medium to large series. The robot processes the blanks, after these have been fed from a buffer store and prepared for processing. State-of-the-art robot arms, that are able to carry out several operations, pick up the oiled plates, followed by the processed product. The fully automatic deep drawing process ensures that there is no human interference in the production chain from feed to discharge. The advantages for our clients are cost savings and continuous production.
The automated process ensures a high degree of accuracy and fewer rejected products. Modern control systems enable fast machine set-up, so that we can easily switch to a new product without losing time. This fully automatic production line is mainly used for medium and large series.

Inlet rim Orfa Visser has standard tooling available for the production of inlet rims. We also do work for third parties with these tooling. For inlet rims you can choose from different diameters ranging from Ø144 to Ø1150 mm. Orfa Visser makes inlet rims in aluminium, steel and stainless steel. Copper and brass are also available on request. If we do not have available the size you need, we can make tooling for you. For this usually highly specialistic work, we have or own tool-making department and a computerized storage facility, where we keep the tooling belonging to our clients. If required we can even make inlet rims up to a diameter of over two metres for you.

Trumpet base Orfa Visser has standard tooling available for the production of trumpets. You can choose from different diameters ranging from Ø300 to Ø960 mm. Orfa Visser makes trumpets in aluminium, steel and stainless steel. Copper and brass are also available on request. If we do not have available the size you need, we can make tooling for you. For this usually highly specialistic work, we have or own tool-making department and a computerized storage facility, where we keep the tooling, belonging to our clients. If required, we can even make trumpets for you with a diameter up to almost two metres.
